Party like the infamous Jay Gatsby
Last Sunday marked a big night in Letty O’Reilly’s life as she celebrated her big 30 with a themed Gatsby party as she wanted her friends and family to have the opportunity to dress up and feel glamorous. I spoke too many of the guests on the night and a lot of them went out of their way to search vintage shops and research their whole look. There was plenty of bling and some amazing head pieces, a lot of them surprisingly home made.
The party extravaganza took place at Tanner Smiths located at 204 West 55th Street. It was the perfect setting as it had a 1920’s atmosphere with delightful cocktails and the DJ played music to match the whole ambience.
Letty looked stunning in a black and gold halter neck dress with a fabulous headpiece to match, she also had a black boa to finish her whole look. Vintage Make up done by makeup artist Yadira, Her hair was done by Aneta from Pure Spa & Salon, a perfect 1920’s up style to match her whole outfit.
It was such an amazing night and I was so happy to be invited, met some great people, danced so much my feet ached and got to drank lots of champagne…..but as F. Scott Fitzgerald said “too much of anything is bad but too much champagne is just right”.
